The purpose of the Smith County Steering Committee is to review expenses and revenues. This committee also: reviews and approves yearly budgets before submittal to county finance department; discusses projects, progress and equipment needs; and discusses state aid projects. The chairman of the Steering Committee reports to full commission following meetings of committee.
